The word love appears in the New King James Version of the Bible 310 times. So, it must be very important! The Bible says that we are to love our neighbor as ourselves (Luke 10:27), and that we are not to just say that we love each other, but to show it by our actions (I John 3:18). It also says to think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works (Hebrews 10:24)!

All this month we are asking everyone to do small, kind gestures for others - your family, friends, classmates, co-workers, strangers – EVERYBODY! These acts of love can be anything from sending an encouraging card, email or text, to shoveling snow for someone, or even buying someone a cup of coffee. No act of love is too small!

Love month cards are available at the church for you to share your act of love with us or, you can email vlw@kingdomchicago.org to share.

Love is an action word, so let’s get busy!
